Of coming battle excitement hath take

Wordlessly mounting

So much has been thought
So much has been said
To where do I go when my life has been bled?

The Call Of Battle

Before night is yet morning my body awakes
Of coming battle excitement hath take

Wordlessly mounting
For we knew ourselves well
We offered silent prayer:
Our foe shall see hell

The men stood abreast
A sturdy good lot
Determined they were to put an end to the rot

They outnumbered us plenty
Ten to a man
More plentiful weapons
More experienced hands

But we had one thing to wipe the smug from their sneer
For where there is strong purpose
There is no fear

Whence they sounded the charge
Hooves pounded like thunder
But as we connect it is they who go under

For where there is freedom
In thy heart and thy mind
Victory is certain to all but the blind
