Everyone’s so busy, indeed
Moving to and fro we go
Wanting to greet everyone else.

Some are white, some are yellow
Some colored red, some are brown, too.

I used to have a doll and she was all I got
She filled my heart with childish joy
Joys that would never last.

To Ma’am Sitoy, my dear,
Thank you for your love and care,
I love you more each passing year,
I feel so blessed having you near.

Wherever you go, people don’t always talk and think like you
Through the years I’ve tried to see the good in every man
But ended up cynical about life, love and misery.

As I sit down and look around
I wonder how I could have missed
The sun above the hills as it rises
The peak of a mountain on a clear day.

You're miles away now,
Separated from me by a number of seas;

Everybody thinks others should leave them alone
`It’s my life, ” one might say
It’s true, I guess, maybe
But then it’s partly wrong, too.

The realization comes to us too late sometimes
That the promise made yesterday may not hold by this time
That the meeting of hearts does not mean chaining the soul
And words usually uttered are empty, impersonal, cold.

I woke up and feel tired still
In my heart the heaviness persists
Wonder why I feel so drained
And realize it’s your not being here.
