Mother Earth

Beyond the skies lies an endless galaxy
She is complex, intricate and unbelievably empty
Was being docile all she was really created to be?
How long though before she defies our forced upon supremacy?

Like a mother disturbed at the very core of her existence
The earth will inevitably give in to our forceful persistence
Too late we will learn about the lurking danger of her passive resistance
The earth might just choose to discard us as an unwanted disturbance

Little by little we force her protective boundaries to give way
We are gradually building the stage for the ultimate fury display
This event that creeps closer and closer more so every day
Will she squash us like pieces of leftover clay?

Tomorrow we will drill yet another hole
We will drill it right into the center of the earth's soul
For that we will receive a trophy in the shape of a bowl
Soon enough though we will come to know who is really in control

The earth has been given ample ammunition to strategize
No longer will there be time to explain or apologize
What more proof before we realize:
The greatest of events is about to materialize?

A few decades ago her anger knew nothing about forming alliances and dating
These days her anger and disgust toward us have already engaged in mating
With every sunset her gaze becomes more penetrating
Her wrath she has already slowly begun demonstrating

The day the earth will finally say: "No, no further will I allow you to go,
The time has come for me to change the status quo
Humans will never again be granted permission to handle earth's arrow and bow!
