Some people haunt you
Long after they should

Could you ever under mind my self confidence
If I didn’t give you permission
Buckling under the doubt I care with me
Pulled down like a weighted rock in my pocket

Really is it just a matter of looking at it differently
Finding from one day to the next
I can flip it
Sad and distraught by what happened today

Surrendering to try
Do a better me
Fashion myself as whole person

So much
For us to
Reach for

There are so many questions
so few right answers
or so I have come to believe

It has become so complicated
Maneuvering around a relationship
When fundamental need are not being met

On my journey of this precious life
