Lisa Arnold Poems

Believing in
more of who
I am today
than yesterday.
...

rust
laden
sky, blush winds
etch lines along
...

Tapping my feet,
feeling the rhythm
of life's beautiful beat.
...

broken words
strangled by
uncertainty's
grasp
...

hushed silhouette breezes tango
honey lips dare whisper his name
when dawn gently awakes, he
will not be beside her
...

demons

descend upon
...

Slipping further,
I am immersed
below
the surface,
...

Echoes
broken, hollow
fall against fierce midnight winds
at river's edge shadows are cast
...

coffee-stained
James Dean
T-shirt
blue jeans torn
...

wind
tussles
backyard swing
dusk falls over
...

cool waters flow atop river rock
graceful waters caress the sea
gentle autumn winds flutter
seagulls take flight beyond
...

kiss my wounded mind
make it whole again
it's got a bad bruise
that's festering, so, baby please
...

ruptured mind can't mend
or begin to think
got me on the defense
shattered soul lost
...

sugar moon sacrifice
red sky dawn
tiger claw-like
fingernails
...

old woman on porch
sipping cherry-lemon tea,
red roses sway in fall wind
...

soul
broken
black on red
solitaire game
...

sweet grace
of ocean's warmth
offers peaceful salvation
life's fails and struggles forgiven
...

late night winds
vacant echoes
rain drizzled
rainbow-hue street
...

early morning
sunlight kiss
languorous Southern breeze
grassy hillside brush
...

break
silence
unveil truth
let your voice be
...

The Best Poem Of Lisa Arnold

Stronger Today Than Yesterday

Believing in
more of who
I am today
than yesterday.

Savoring
all of what
in life
I have to gain.

Feeling
in the depth
of my weary soul,
inner desires
rising as my life,
I begin to reclaim.

Accepting
my fate
as I cling
to my faith.

I now see
hints of sun
where there
is rain.

I now sense
traces of joy
emerging from
beneath profound
pain.

Brightness
outside of
darkness,
I now witness.

Inside of
bitterness,
I now taste
sweetness.

I hold more
in the palms
of my hands
today than
ever before.

For now, I
dance solo
in my
frenzied
life tango.

But it is okay
because I am
stronger today
than yesterday.
