Can u see what’s killing us?
I wish I could
But instead their blood turns my vision blurry
The pace of peace doesn’t hurry
...

Today I faced ultimate defeat
7 shadows beat me to my feet
At first I thought it was a joke
But good evaporated like white smoke
...

In my world i cry delay I have no mother to call me baby
My stomach is the size of a marble
I crouch forward cause the pains unbearable
I go by the blown homes that I pass by daily

Can u see what’s killing us?
I wish I could
But instead their blood turns my vision blurry
The pace of peace doesn’t hurry
I wish it would

Iron bullets paint vivid images, motionless
Yes the colour red, creatures a terrible mess
I hope the end is near
They tell me to have no fear
I try to imagine a utopia, rivers filled with honey
But the thought never sticks and turns runny

Instead I see a crib laced in blood
My little sister who they buried in the mud
Every time I feel home sick, I look at my burned hut
Death is inescapable like the air we breathe
100’s have screamed help but are now deceased
I now know I shall never be saved
But I keep my head up high and look proud as our flag waves
