Book Of Disquiet

Abandoned oil mill's thatched roof
shadow that falls where I read
the Book of Disquiet while

like yesterday the mule
rubs its way along the seawall
scratching itself on the olive tree

Shadow's voice prospects
in the shade
at the same hour

Where

might those who
in truth truly live
a life alive be

Translation: Nicholas Grindell
