Mark A. Murphy Poems

Trying to see Heaven
far beyond the current view.
Never focusing enough
to see what I put you through.
...

Hurrying here and there
Too busy to pay attention
Coffee cup in my hand prepared
By a stranger paid to care
...

Something catches my attention
Out of the corner of my eye
A quick, bouncing, buzzing dot
Between the space of screen and glass
...

It moves along an iron path
Rumbles and roars without wrath
Away through farm land and urban
To another place of burden
...

A man who was solidly grounded
Looked to the sky and there
Was a wondrous machine flying in air
...
