All at once the trembling hopes
and long forgotten thoughts
are seen through crystal eyes

No more the dunce

I gaze on vast spaces
not empty
not disturbing
but settled and inviting
...

The cat I trained my very own self
To go in the litter box
But once in awhile I'm hit with surprise
By a brown splotch on my sox
...

Little mouse running 'cross the cabin floor
High tech trap awaits him at the kitchen door
Life events have one thing that is always true
Outcomes will be colored by one's point of view
...

With a squint and a peek
I popped into this world
With a yell and a breath
I took hold
...

We humans think we're somethin' else
all sentient and supreme
Rising upward to the top
just like so much cream
...

Sun shines on nature's face
Wind whispers bough to bough
Air fills with nectar's fragrance
Present day finds harmony
...

Louie and me across the plains
standing tall and riding free
Heading West to the untamed land
true to ourselves and taking a stand
...

Now that we have real time together
I'd like to get to know you

What you think and feel
...

I have dwelt where granite neighbors
split the clouds with jagged hand
Where sheer aggressive beauty
offers vistas that are grand
