Mark Garcia Quintero Poems

are you awake?
beneath the cotton blankets,
coconut coffee, hungup winter jackets,
smooth skin, soft lips,

chathedrel bells sway up above,
down below, the young ladies know,

My Morning

are you awake?
beneath the cotton blankets,
coconut coffee, hungup winter jackets,
smooth skin, soft lips,

unbrushed hair, needs no brushing,
the window is open, her eyes meet you,
now she is blushing, the old am radio is singing,
Saturdays agenda is lazy,

a smile, then a whisper,
she said, i love you,
my eyes shut, then they open,
if you only knew...

she was never there,
a lost memory,
from a past time,
