McKenzie Spaulding Poems

There he is....the epitome of perfection
Casually leaning against his locker.

Ruffled blonde hair standing up
...

Tendions coil and release
Each muscle is flexed with exertion.

His mind is completly focused on the game before him
...

Bum Bum.....Bum Bum
Each heart has a rythmical song,
A steady beat
Pushing the sticky liquid through its viens.
...

Amid the stary night
Stands a girl beneath a tree.
She stands frozen in time.
Eyes probing each star
...

The sun peeks over the distant mountains,
Bathing everything in a beautiful golden glow.

The dull glow of the rays gently tickle my face.

How do you know Momma?
You have special powers
Ones where you know my thoughts
And feelings.
...

While devouring a fresh orange straight off of the branch
Feeling the sticky juices stream down my fingers.
The warm, southern breeze ripples my hair.
I stare out over the vast expanse of land and vegitaion.
...

Love brings joy
Love brings hope
Love sparks passion
Love creates bonds between two creatures.
...

9.

Built up energy ready to release.
A power beyond imagining
Yet each movement is graceful.
Ready to destroy,
...

Time was too short for you...
But dont worry,
You live on in me.
...

Silent lips,
Yet her hazel eyes are constantly glancing about,
Capturing every unspoken action.
A noiseless listener to every conversation.
...

Iron fetters lock my heart
Constricting it
Nothing can leave
Nothing can enter
...

Enhance you elevation,
Make your eyes come alive.
Think about nothing,
Yet, think about everything.
...

14.

An unexpected sighting takes my breath away,
Could perfection really be attainable?
It must be, because there he stands.
...

Speaking in hushed tones,
As if you could disrupt anguish.
Silent tears cutting a path along each face.
A single tear dropp can hold many emotions
...

A developing fetus,
A fluttering heartbeat,
Working hard, straining to support life.
Each day growing stronger,
...

Tiny, perfect fingers.
Ten miniature toes

Deep ocean blue alert eyes.
...

The crushing, imobilizing wieght was heaved off of her chest.

Although the devistating wieght is gone,
The crater it left behind is a present reminder of the grief it caused.
...

Alone...
Shivering and shaking
Icy
Little wisps of breathy air
...

Air expands her lungs
Breathing deeply:
From the diophram.

The Fantasy Of A Young Girl

There he is....the epitome of perfection
Casually leaning against his locker.

Ruffled blonde hair standing up
Flawless in its disarray.

Today is the day
Just a simple 'Hi'
As I discreetly saunter by.

I suck in a deep breath
Searching for relief from the terrible fear
Theatening to upset my stomach.

I absentmindedly smooth my hair
And tug on a loose string on my shirt

While our proximity closed
My breathing sped rapidly

A petite brunette pranced between us
Blocking my way.
Greeting him with an alabaster smile

I freeze for the smallest part of a second
Veering in the opposite direction
Hoping he didnt nocite my failed attempt.

My cheeks burn.
What had diluted me in to thinking i could speak to him? !

In a perfect world
He would realize I was made for him.

But for now...I'll start planning for tomorrow.
