  • POEM: Sex and Love by ramesh rai (11/8/2014 10:11:00 AM)

Great poem - sex is a lower worlds phenomenon, love permeates both the higher and lower worlds. Without love there would be nothingness except God as a vacant void BUT God is love and through this love Spirit exists, Soul and Souls exist, and through the flow of Spirit, universes are expressed and Soul is provided the opportunity to re-win the discovery of Its and Its true eternal purpose.

  • POEM: A Poem by my son by ramesh rai (11/8/2014 9:58:00 AM)

Ramish, I don't know your son's age, but I loved the poem. Kudos to you and your spouse on your combined child rearing skills! And congrats to your son on a poem well written!

  • POEM: I Summoned My Love by ramesh rai (11/8/2014 9:49:00 AM)

I love the sentiment expressed in these words. I too come across those less fortunate begging in the streets....sometimes I donate, sometimes I don't - as guided by a spiritual nudge. One can't always help everybody - this is a lesson to be learned by all, donors and recipients alike. And yes, we are blessed when we help.

    Hi all,

I've been away for a while - taking a break. Yesterday, with winter coming, I decided to put pen to paper and, in the Haiku format, have written several poems. I'll leave one here but will post others today and over the coming weeks to my page.

    Haiku 6 – Unexpected

    Late teens - hormones rage

    Protection is neglected

    Oops - pregnancy

Hi to all PH poets - just a quick message to wish each and all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

On another note, I just finished reviewing Leonard Cohen's lyrics..... to me Leonard is a truly gifted Soul. I feel we have all been blessed with his song " Hallelujah" . One of my poems speaks of him....you might want to check it out.

I wrote this poem back in 1959.....Its structure may be appreciated here in this workshop forum. Your thoughts?

    A Brook

Hear water breaking in a brook
Over rocks that are timeless with age -
A sound near as old as the earth itself
With a meaning beyond any sage.

Hear water breaking in a brook
Over rocks that are gray with the years -
An elixir of youth to those ancient stones
Is this water of heaven shed tears.

    See you there earth's brow,
Beneath the cool brook's soothing self?
Not one wrinkle on that brow
As years from us will win,
Not one wrinkle on that ancient brow,
As smooth as an infant's skin!

Hear water breaking in a brook,
Laughing on its way to the sea.
Hear water breaking in a brook,
Laughing at you and at me!
