Michael Moorcroft Poems

He’s stolen my looks,
And read all my books,
He’s stolen my clothes,
Yes the basics too!
...

When the lights go out,
They grab their knives,
They sneak about,
And snuff out lives.
...

Your bodies up for rent,
It’s been a tough day,
All your dollars have been spent,
You best be on your way.
...

Craters’ looked at the moon,
Soldiers watched the mud,
They all died too soon,
And the earth was now their blood.
...

Driving down the highway,
In her brand new Porsche,
Big sunglasses on,
Her silk scarf blowing in the wind.
...

I want to dig in Egypt,
To find in the sand,
A long forgotten crypt,
Buried in the ancient land.
...

I have my secrets,
That I will not tell,
For they are mine,
That I would not sell.
...

It started at nine o’clock,
Went on into the night,
Music boomed in every room,
The place looked a sight.
...

I read this book,
It made me look,
At things I never saw.
...

10.

I like to be different,
I like to be odd,
I say what is meant,
And I can be a sod.
...

11.

The wild wind,
Whipped her face,
As she quickened the pace,
Sorry that she had sinned,
...

It started in the class room,
A rubber band hit the wrong target,
The chav it hit stood up and began to boom,
At the prep shooter, who began to fret.
...

It sat there,
Perched upon its chair,
And tried to make a lunge at me,
I backed with sudden care.
...

14.

You always wanted to be with me,
But I really need my space,
I like to feel that I’m free,
I don’t always want to see your face.
...

Dedicated to Beth

I’m sorry I abandoned you,
In your hour of need,
...

Dedicated to Joan Moorcroft.

They were in a small plastic bag,
There were six of them painted green,
...

17.

I wished to a be prince,
Though this dream has faded since.

I’d grab the blue bath jug,
...

Yes I take the supplements,
My best friend the cod liver oil,
Promise me good hair and nails,
I never obtain the compliments.
...

She ploughed through the sky,
With her 1.8 engine broom,
And put her foot down and screamed ‘oh my! ’
A nitrogen tank was fitted for that extra zoom.
...

The streets were empty,
The windows were shut,
The roads too small,
The buildings like huts.

The Best Poem Of Michael Moorcroft

****doppelgänger****

He’s stolen my looks,
And read all my books,
He’s stolen my clothes,
Yes the basics too!
My underwear raided,
He’ll need smaller sizes,
He’s copied my walk,
And now knows how I talk,
He’s mirrored my hair,
And captured my flare,
He’s worked for my build,
But he isn’t as skilled,
He’s got my posture,
And pulls it off well,
My shoes he has,
That he will never fill,

My identity stolen,
It is time for a change,
Let’s shake things up,
I’ll have a range.
