We’d like to be the head
We’d love to wield a mighty sword
But not where truth has led

One moment Lord without You

Could lead to things I shouldn’t do
And make the devil glad

Remember not my filthy ways
Consume all trace of shame
Lord set my heart my soul ablaze
In Jesus’ holy name

While Heaven calls to come inside
The Father’s sheep astray
The jaws of hell are gaping wide
And lions prowl for prey
...

A testing for the truth to find
The lost, still bound in shame
A spark to purge the darkest mind
To glorify His name
...

We’re told to rid our self of yeast
Clouding our child like mind
Instead we forage like some beast
Consuming all we find
...

I'm full of joy and richly blessed
Of Christ I'm never shy
I'll journey through this world as guest
Until the day I die
...

Through life my God I walked as dead
Miserable, lost and blind
Till from the dust You raised my head
And changed my doubtful mind
...

The night my God’s about to quit
The dawn You bring will soon be lit
Sunbeams climb the horizon’s crest
Your children rise content from rest

I felt alone, quite down and out
So sad, most days I’d cry
I’d lived this way, so full of doubt
