Michelle Clements Biography

I come from Liverpool, England and now live in Toronto ON Canada. I love to write poetry and I get all my material from personal experience. Some of my poems are dark and may even be considered disturbing, but there is light as there is also inspirational poems. I am a recovering drug addict and I used to literally live on the street. I am now clean and sober and I use writing as a way of purging my past. In short I am a survivor.)

Jaime

He walked through shadows every single night
He was always on guard and ready for a fight
He sold his soul before he turned seventeen
Lived life so dirty, couldnt stand to be clean
But he once was a child, he was somebody's son
At the end it was clear that Jaime had no one
Jaime died on the street at the end of a knife
And no one really cared who took Jaime's life
A few questions were asked but nobody knew
Who ran from the scene as Jaime turned blue?
No one came to find him his body was unclaimed
He's ashes meant nothing and no one was blamed
