Love Sweet Love? ?

I fell in love

and I fell deep,

he touched my heart

I gave him to keep.



We made a promise

and I fell even more,

empty it was

now my heart is sore.



Blinded I was

and a fool I became,

to believe it was true

that our love would remain.



Now I'm left here all alone

with my dreams torn apart,

I should have known by the look

in his eyes right from the start.



But who can deny

a love that tastes so sweet,

after the first kiss

I was swept off my feet.



So here we are

miles in between,

all I can do now

is continue to dream.



For a love so true

for a love filled with passion,

because he loves me that much

that we don't have to ration.



Still I want him

forever by my side,

cause a fool that I am

he's only taking me for a ride.



Unconditional is what I said

with conditions is what he wants,

but still he says(when I ask)

that he loves me lots.



Then why does he lie

about so many things,

pushing me away

like he wants his wings.



To trust is to believe

that I am the only one,

how can that be

when he's having all the fun.



Yet I am here

waiting for him,

thinking our chances

aren't that slim.



When a heart is broken

and all is said and done,

the last thing I want to do

is run.



And now here I remain

with my heart in hand,

hoping and praying

he's with me to stand.
