Mike Kosman Poems

Dreams are made to follow
Hills are made to climb
Losing is hard to swallow
But we get stronger all the time
...

Walking in the cold October rain
Down a dark and lonely highway
Not knowing where I am
Wondering if you ever really
...

In the darkest hour of morning
At the coldest time of day
Down a never ending highway
I set out on my way
...

Hey little super hero
With your batmobile parked right beside your bed
And teddy on the pillow by your head
You think I can beat up superman
...

When it feels like every little thing you do
Keeps turning out all wrong
And the way you're bound really has the sound
Of a tune from a sad sad song
...

May the sunshine bless your roses
Be your pastures ever green
May your heart be ever joyful
And your spirit light and free
...

I'd like to tell you all about
This one truck driving man
Ain' t got time to tell it all
But I'll do the best I can
...

I'm wanting you to know
I won't forget the years
You guided me through life
The best way that you knew
...

Always been ahead of yourself
Self assured and bold
Took the traning wheels off your bike
When you were only four years old
...

I came home from the baseball field
Teardrops in my Eyes
I didn't make the team
And I though that I would die
...

O mighty oak I've gazed at you
So strong and standing tall
Your massive branches in the wind
So high above us all
...

My day was two hours old at sunrise
Sometimes I hate when morning comes around
Now I'm still out here working on this cold and lousy job
And the sun is going down
...

When a woman walks beside you
And she makes you feel whole
When the feelings that you're feeling
Come from deep within your soul
...

Never was a mountain
So strong and standing tall
Rising from a wilderness
Yet high above it all
...

So many years she has layed down by his side
With her warm hand on his chest as he held her through the night
But the honeymoon is over now and life's become so hard
There's a storm out in the distance as the wind blows through the yard
...

I can feel your disappointment as I stagger through the door
When just last night I promised that I wouldn't drink no more
But the long hard days and the heavy loads been getting the best of me
Guess I'm not as strong a man as I thought that I could be
...

In the presence of the princess
With the summer all around
There beside the blooming gardens
And amoung the massive hounds
...

The first time that I saw you
I knew you were a prize
I was captured by a feeling
When I looked into your eyes
...

She struts into his fantasy
In nylons and high heels
Emotion stirs inside of him
She knows just how he feels
...

Long live the lady
That stands by her man
Long live the warmth
In the touch of her hand
...

Dreamers

Dreams are made to follow
Hills are made to climb
Losing is hard to swallow
But we get stronger all the time
The dreams that dreamers follow
Often die along the way
But dreamers live to dream another day
