some words i'd like to say but i've fallen mute.
A love once so rich and profound,
now drug induced, i've fallen to the ground.

How is one to escape their fate?
With life ticking by, is time to late?
Too far damaged for any repair,
life always seems to have been so cruel and unfair.

In the darkness of the twilight,
that's when i find myself against my hardest fight.
Insomnia spells once again...please not tonight,
It's been days now, my brain doesn't seem to be working right.
...

So you think you can just throw it away so quickly
You knew you wouldn't be able to change, mold, or 'fix' me.
Like your favorite watch you never remember to wind,
love becomes de-railed, a crash site lost and left behind.

Silence is deafening as i sit wallowed in sorrow.
I searched for yesterday but found only the path of tomorrow,
Trying to hold on to something now so obscure and foreign.
It's much less afflicting living a life hollow, reclusive, and boring.

Wasting words away into the night my dear,
Whispered those soft words but still you didn't want to hear.
I'd travel miles of oceans to win you again,
but you'd let me drown, the ships too weak to sustain.
