i don't want to know when the evening's coming.
don't care to be aware at the end of day.
don't wanna hear the sound of the distant drumming.
i already know what they're gonna say.

holding onto 'nothing' only
freedom is expressed.
the mind that thinks itself exists
will soon become obsessed,

i was unconscious all those years ago,
those years in hell.
surely they would more torment me
now i've tasted heaven.

philosophers live in their books or their heads,
philanderers live in their flesh,
philanthropists live in their giving to others
but all share a mutual quest...

religion begs a need for god
to temper our misdeeds;
our tendency toward the non-challant,
our pettiness and greed
...

from winter's chill to summertime
and overnight it seemed.
from snow play to sunbathing,
as if wakened from a dream.

perhaps and when her third event
had purposed to come nearer,
and seeing form and substance spent
before her in the mirror;
