Nathan Beery Poems

I don't know myself-
I'm lost in this
Leg-run of life
Atta boy, for doing good, what
...

2.

Cold traces the flesh,
Every sound besets a sweat...
It's there, in the darkness...
Waiting watching...
...

'Tis but a sin,
A virtue gone to vice,
Silence gone to sorrow,
'Tis but the life
...

When I'm with you, I can't hate myself...
I'm never crestfallen, I'm never depressed-

You make my heart flutter, my soul set aflight...
...

8.

It's almost serene-
This bitter chill,
A subtle thing-
The world almost still...
...

They have said
'sometimes the weak must die, it is for the best'
Kill the black horse,
They say with certainty,
...

Ever hear a caged bird sing but set aflight upon a wing?
Man needs madness to set aflight, and chaos to drive delight-
Fly too high and fall too fast, staying still never lasts, then suddenly overtaken by the past-
Falling deep and falling fast, in those depths you come to drown-
...

11.

Falling from a ledge, with no end in sight
The air running by, like every moment of life
There's no pause, no moments still
Falling fast rushing past, everything else seems stagnant
...

12.

Darkness so embraced me, and I?
And I was so embraced by darkness
By darkness, that I didn't know
I didn't know where to go
...

Ghosts casting long shadows,
The demons howling-
The banshee this night crying-
And even my own shadow is creeping
...

A glance around shows a noose,
hanging from a ledge loose,
and swinging gently to and fro,
hanging just there or so,
...

These falling fears and spins of fate
frequently of thoughts awake
and questions fall like frozen hail
Pelting the mind with furious hell
...

19.

It made my knees give to shake,
And my heart made to quake,
Shivering like a rain-wet dove-
And confused by this sudden love-
...

Maybe, I'm just another tortured soul-
Maybe, that's all it really means,
When life goes to hell and everything shatters-
Maybe, that's all it really means,
...

The Best Poem Of Nathan Beery

Few Words

I don't know myself-
I'm lost in this
Leg-run of life
Atta boy, for doing good, what
A ploy, no one is so good, and yet, that's not so bad...

Nathan Beery Quotes

My only motivation in life is necessity. I can only count on myself, so I have to become someone I can count on.

We aren't made or broken from where we come from, we make ourselves, day in and day out we go through fire, we are what we make ourselves with what is left after everything else is burnt away.

Anyone I consider family is someone I respect and care for to the utmost, and am loyal to without fail.

I'm thankful for what I've been through, I've made myself a better person for it.

If I still had faith in humanity, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep so well.

Thank god I'm insane, I don't know how well adjusted people live in this hell-hole of a society.

When an idiot agrees with me, I really start to question my opinion.

I prize my insanity, it's what gives me clarity.

Good without evil is imperfect just as evil is without good, we make our decisions in life and unless we've failed when it matters, we don't know the price of what doing wrong is. There is no good without evil, and there is no evil without good. An omnipotent force is neutral and so, the ideal is found in both good and evil or more so in the understanding that nothing is perfect. You can't understand the depths of what a simple good act means without seeing and comprehending the depravity and inhumanity that people are capable of; it is really evil that makes good matter

Darkness and light are equal parts of the ideal.

We live life like men at the end of a noose, the rope is the past and the ground is tomorrow. In the end either the rope lets go or we do.

I'm sometimes so occupied with living, I forget to deal with life.

It is what others expect of us that drives us to become something else.

Genius and madness in equal measures, as darkness and light.

Some people will never see how you love them from your eyes, and never hear it from your lips; because sometimes a love can't live where it has nested in the heart.
