Nestor David Armas Poems
Wanting what we cannot have, This rings so true, As I look at you. Nothing I would not do,
I put you on a pedestal; Not because you are unattainable; Or because you are in a class all your own, I do this because I want you to be special;
In between me and you There are volumes untold We the bookends Kept the stories within,
Show me the other side Where the grass grows wild,
A Day To Pause...
Today was the day I looked about and saw the sky; The world, everything around me In a whole new way.
Whittle me this Stick I toss Across the thick Of fields
On The Spot...
On the spot And in spots I make it rain Really big drops
Where have you been? Have you been there Right in front of me, In the thin of the blue unseen
A Call Of Duty...
Beauty in her possession; Is a power no mortal or god can wield,
I Never Knew...
I never knew dawn could break, With peace so deep and hope so wide,
I Was Never Ink...
I wish she'd miss But she'd rather diss,
I Yearned For...
Her kisses I yearned for; More than air, more than life itself,
One Is Better Than Two...
I hope she gets there, Wherever she's going, However far; however high, Always off running; I know she'll fly,
Beauty decomposing, Like Mozart unraveling; A symphony from his grave, She no longer would behave;
She was born of fire
Forged in pain and tears,
No blacksmith could undo
Though if they tried they would tire;
Her ferocity of nature
