Nicholas James Warburton Poems

From the green grass spread among the hills,
To the fields of yellow dandelions,
The worlds such a beautiful place,
For such cruel intent.
...

I'm feeling weak, I'm feeling powerless, I'm suffering and everyone is blind to it.
I tell someone my problems, they say to me it's going to be okay, it's going to help to be around people that care for you.
The next morning or even ten minutes later nothing.
I'm trying I really am but I don't know what I'm supposed to do, I'm weak, I'm vulnerable, I'm everything I shouldn't be.
...

I'm sat here,
As I watch people I care about drop like flies,
I'm sat here,
As wait for you to talk to me,
...

Her hair was auburn like the tree's in autumn,
She smile as bright as the stars at night,
She asked 'Why are you looking at me? '
Her hazel eyes were deep and expressive,

I wish I could die right now,
Couldn't even tell all times I've thought of how,
My head is a mess,

Nothing could prepare me for this day of disrepair,

In the light of your memory and soul,
You've changed my life with such conviction,

The Plea For A Star.

From the green grass spread among the hills,
To the fields of yellow dandelions,
The worlds such a beautiful place,
For such cruel intent.
Carved by angels,
But a core made by demons,
Where plains of justice and injustice collide,
With innocence stuck between.
In such blindness,
Lives are lived and fought,
Betraying that everything is just and fair,
Then how do the innocence left in this world become victims,
The cruel and violent are nothing but left to their own doing.
I clench my heart and plea to thee,
I'd give my heart and soul to keep her from this miserable blight,
My body is yours so is my soul,
Just take mine instead of hers.
For all the good in her heart is far more than mine,
I'd carry her pain,
her misery and her despair,
A thousand times for her.
So I beg thee,
For everything I am,
Everything I have done and to do,
I plea to you,
Do not take the brightest star in my world,
I need her to light the way.
