Have You Ever

have you ever sat on your window sill
and looked high up in the sky
thought about things in life
and simply wondered why

have you ever laid on your bed and cried
as you thought about your day
and wondered if tomorrow
would end up the same way

have you ever stood outside
and looked up at the birds
how they fly so free
and youre struck and have no words

have you ever looked at a dog
that's locked up in a cage
and as you looked at him you wondered
do you guys feel the same rage

have you ever sat and made plans
about how one day you'd die
and then you start to realize
that it started with a lie
