Biography of Nima Tharchen

Inspired by Robert Herrick, his poetic themes on 'Carpe Diem' Started writing as most teens would do about love, infatuation, changes, etc. Gradually moved on to write about poems based on life, follies of the people, nature and the blunt truth about power and the misuse of this power. Today he is a student teacher, in Paro College of Education. He is currently doing his Bachelor of Education. He hopes to teach students poetry.

The Encounter

I seldom spent my time taking fragments from my past,
But, solely her face appears from a string of cast;
I met her in the most unusual trend,
This is somewhat, how it happened.

There was an hour before dark,
I was prepared for my mother’s cacophonic bitter bark;
I wondered if that woman would shower a hint of mercy,
