Roiling clouds are by rainbows rent

Golden sunbeams their warmth bestow

Cold, damp, musty fog comes creeping
Blotting the light across the landscape
Into life's bones the chill is seeping
Muffles the soul with a thick grey cape
...

Across the wings of time
I can only speak in rhyme
Of the torturous depths of hell
The ringing of death's own bell
...

Pills, pills, endlessly more pills
Pop a handful to cure all your ills

Whenever one doesn't sit well with me

Heaven would be hell without you
Songs of angels shaded in blue
Eternal sunlight dimmed to gray
Endless peace shredded in dismay
