Split

Fast paced movement break
quiet street corners
ever more dull as it
pierces the damp air
The moldy citizens of the citys underbelly climb into their
shacks and crate homes that
decorate alleys in their own
small crowded neighborhood.
The failed products of capitalism
sit in their squaler and cry over broken needles and smashed dreams, infringing
ever on the fringes of rich
mens coats, set off to the
side as a constant reminder
to those with ambition that
even on the top on can fall
to the gutter to lay amongst
the fith and those regarded as garbage.
Split and cut and torn angry souls march toward fires and park benches
the army of the once greats. The once shined armour torn to rags by
the pain of failure. Maddness
striken by the might of pop culture
forced down your throat. Button downs sealled up to the neck, silent fears
coarse in the dead of night
drilled into the heart of simple men
with holes as small as pin pricks still smaller then that of a thumbtacks head.
Cracked open chest cavitys
reveal the replaced organs
of what was once a human
turned into a alienated mammal
from a far away forest of a dead movie.
Sarcasm still bounces and bunches
in the brain as elders speak
wise words into never muted
ears that refuse to speak
unless its about broken poets
with guitar in hand and
morals of becoming a sell out being
thrown with the opposite hand
campaigning for another 'indie'
tour. Meeting in commercial cookie cutter coffee houses
to discuse the facts of their life as anticonformist and living out of the mainstream, to bad that they never discuss irony. They leave with refilled copy-right symbol halos above
sad idiotic heads. Still conforming to the exact formation of life at 20 while still believing in the fact that
they are not a copy of a copy
that long since lost its
original print date and seal.
