Pablo Neruda was himself a poem never written.

Pablo Neruda was one of the first people to use surrealism extensively in his poetry. It added a sense of supernatural phenomena, as reality was overflowing over the top to this new world which he could manipulate. Burial in the East, and Carnal Apple are among my favourites, and each portray a realistic event in a surreal fashion.

Pablo Neruda is among, if not the Seminal Latin American writer. I would strongly encourage people who wish to read Neruda to buy a bilingual copy of his book, Spanish is truly a beautiful language.

Happy birthday brother Pablo. Potter of the people, poetry like clay of essential earth and humanity. Heres to your ever endurign flag, America's Arucanian angel.

We Are Many

Of the many men whom I am, whom we are,
I cannot settle on a single one.
They are lost to me under the cover of clothing
They have departed for another city.

When everything seems to be set
to show me off as a man of intelligence,
the fool I keep concealed on my person
takes over my talk and occupies my mouth.
