Above a homeland forever mine

In our hearts to forever stay

Do you need to spread across the world in gloom
Are there earthquakes and tsunamis in our time
When these warnings can be so sublime

We spoke together quietly one afternoon of his son now lost
I came to realise as he spoke of his struggling with its cost
His son was young and just starting with his own life's journey
What happened made him question if as a father he was worthy

I am just a little boy
In a world of heartache and joy
Then growing up and wondering why
Being just a little bit shy

The Spirit soars above the earth
As silence now pervades its girth
Each battlefield has spat its hate
Broken earth and lives given up to hate
