So you won't see me or recall

Do you think the rains will break
He said to his wife at the morning wake
It's the 25 th of the month you know
And time to plant the crop to let it grow

You've gotta stand up straight
Carry that weight
Don't be bend at all
Or you may fall
...

Do you wonder what they thought
Or if they knew about fighting
What was on their mind
When they enlisted in the war
...

We hear the stories quite clears
Of ANZACs and their families quite dear
As we will remember each one
And the deeds that cannot be undone
...

If I said I love you
Would you turn and walk away
If I said please stay
Would you go anyway
...

Do I see the truth anymore
Just a list of statements to ignore
Repeated over and over again
Until they do nothing but offend
...

I like the way the sun shines
And makes the sky so blue
On an early autumn day
As a gentle breeze blows by too
...

There are times when you want to burst
To scream and shout about the worst
News that you did not want to hear
And you wonder when a cloudy sky will clear
...

I was a King's man riding upright
Who chased the Highwaymen on sight
On the coach roads of Old England around
When Bail up was shouted down
