To My Little One

Oh dear daughter, what should i tell you
You are such a darling my little one
I know u are too small to understand
Having no one else I think I should tell you

That your mom's life never was a royal staircase
That your mom's life never was a bed of roses
That it was not only dreams and laughter so joyous
That it was not only hopes and smiles so bright

That It many a times was a path so dark
That it meant tumbling, falling and holding breath
With eyes so widened to catch a little light ray of hope
That it had a long veil of smile to hide back despair and fright

Then you may ask why not taken a nice cozy path
Oh dear believe me paths of life always chose us
Even if we think we are the choosers
I would like you to know
It was you who was the hope, the lamp and the aim
It was your smile that kept the fire kindled within
To go along that path so solitary cold and dark.

Again I think I should tell you I never want you
To be in my shoes so torn up walking along the hard stones
To find you in that less taken solitary winding path
To stand all alone with blank widened eyes
To fake a smile when a sea of tears roaring inside
To grab up and pull on each time the bits of dreams shattered

I think I should tell you what I want
I want you to be strong and kind
To say NO when life demands so
To say Yes only when your mind says so
To chase your dreams and follow your heart
To not pretend living a happy life for someones sake
To love YOU more without any fear
To stand with a risen head and erect spine
To do anything that makes you smile within
To not get entangled in life chains
To flutter free like a pretty butterfly

To raise you free and strong
To be not like me..never like me..
