I'm not sure i'll see tomorrow
but i'm sure the sun will shine
so if i lie and i never wake again
let not your heart feel hollow

When i love
am like a child
gentle and gullible
too trusting i must say

on this day i call my pen to labour
as a woman was called to labour
on this day
as this poem is born

I'm throwing in the towel and calling it quits,
am giving in and tasting defeat
I'm giving up on my quest for a sincere
affection, yes i am.

I was poor
poverty camped at my doorstep
not short on cents
rather short on sense
...

I want to tell you how i've been
how i've faired
i want you to see the man i've become
and tell you of the people who've
...

Friends say she's a phony
my family says she's indecent
yet she's the woman i see in my future
i wish the present was promising
...

In zeal the fishermen wait
Silence is their common bond
Eyes rooted on the submerged traps
With a hope so high
...

I have sought friendships
Sometimes friendships sought me
I have been a good a friend
Sometimes a not so good a friend
...

We take turns feeding the fire
With the winds of the night
It has quite an appetite
I'll tell you of the winds someday
