Battle Cry

Like all the candles
Represented in the sweep
Of a lighthouse beam
So does each of our stories
Shed light on the downfall
Of our homes, cities, our nation. Together we can take the heat
And scrutiny of public disbelief
Because there is power
In our stories. Silence is our weakness
Baptism of fire
Our deliverance
Heat cannot harm us
It will only free us.
