Piotr Kasjas Poems

I'm standing in a queue for fulfilled dreams,
with people dressed in forced smiles
- scholars, labourers and street children,
who flawlessly say the first two letters of the alphabet.
...

The empire of my senses is a restless thing
and infinitely vast – like an ocean,
which tempts by the unknown horizon of the other hemisphere,
that leads me to action,
...

In the mature gestures we smuggle trails of feelings
and pushing aside frequent reality,
we save ourselves from latent love.
And we become sinners of our act,
...

Silent night brings sleep,
which is a long journey into the unknown,
into the unknown and not having an end,
to the whispers of fulfilled dreams.
...

Love is that someone who looks out for us
with a shallow breath of expectation
and with the magic of the words ignites the senses.
Someone who smells of fulfilled hope,
...

Darkness enveloped our souls
and stings the eyes like a sleepless night.
Submerged in the hot ocean of mouths,
we entangle our flexible bodies
...

Love is like the bible, which tells us
that women cannot be happy at the way in which we were conceived.
You have to be able to speak to her soul and understand every heartbeat.
You have to know how to be lover, friend and sometimes poet.
...

My love has got little time.
My love is so noble in thought
and so pathetic in deeds.
My love is like a storm, bringing anxiety
...

This distance between us holds separation
and breeds in the mind a nameless thought
which becomes a throbbing and unbearable torment.
...

I only have the one life
and a handful of values which complete its harmony.
I have freshly gathered thoughts
which I arrange in lines of prosaic blank verse.
...

11.

The world is dying for no apparent reason,
and we are only leaves in the wind - we go wherever the wind takes us.
We measure our shabby lives
by the shaky perception of grey reality.
...

12.

Forced into action, I built a private ark.
I hid in it all the time of my prime.
And understanding those, who hate me:
usurpers of my creativeness,
...

1. Dead silence

Silence, dead silence.
Nameless and unreadable,
...

Dreams fade against the background of the passing life.
Interrupted by sleep in the middle of the night,
by the viscosity of the white mist
and overwhelming humidity of rain,
...

You will remain in my heart,
forever young, you will remain.
Enveloped by a mature memory,
you’ll be coming back, with the unique,
...

The Best Poem Of Piotr Kasjas

In The Queue For Fulfilled Dreams

I'm standing in a queue for fulfilled dreams,
with people dressed in forced smiles
- scholars, labourers and street children,
who flawlessly say the first two letters of the alphabet.

I look at them when they toss about in the net of life events,
when they read books, when they buy bread.
And when they look for salvation
- new space of new time,
with hope and clarity of mind, to be able to look into the dark future,
- for the short days of their glory,
that I will be measuring by long verses.

I found P. Kasjas poetry completely by accident. It's wonderful and powerful. Him new book has new poems, but also selection of poem from every stage of our life. It is always interesting to see how a poet's work evolves from decade to decade. He is one of my favorites, especially his later work.
