Why are the things we desire most always out of reach, never within our grasp, always something we can never breach?
Does she not know how her smile warms my heart?
Does she not know that she is tearing me apart?
Does she not know how she is pulling me by the hand?
Does she not know that I do not understand?
All these emotions are new to me; I know this could never be,
Though I dare not pull away for I might be led astray.
All I can do is fallow while being pulled along.
For her my love has never been so strong.
Does she not know I am by her side?
Does she not know by her word I will abide?
Does she not know she has another by the hand?
Does she not know this I will not stand?
For her to be happy I will attempt to let her hand go,
She pulls me tighter and closer to put on a show.
I fight to break away from her grip
I eventually give her the slip.
Does she not know that I have made her cry?
Does she not know for her I would die?
Does she not know?
Does she not know?
Did I not know that she can love her friends as well?
Did I not know I am the reason she fell?
