*00015 SUMMER COMES & GOES
Summertime - anticipated
Warm days and sultry nights
Summertime - now eagerly awaited
Enjoy the sounds and scents and sights
Summer time of leisure and of pleasure
Holidays and journeys to new climes
To seek to see the world and all its treasures
To see trees full of lemons and of limes.
Summertime the joy of sunny days
Horrors of Winter all forgotten
To walk in mud free lanes and nature praise
All things fresh - nothing decayed or rotten.
Summertime please stay with us for ever
Autumn's beauty is offset with wind and rain
August come she must - September a glowing ember
Summer please promise us in nine months time
You will be born again! ! !

Lovely poem, reminds me of how summer used to be! !
You reveal so well the beauty of summer time with its benefits, with all its aspects of 'joy of sunny days', 'leisure' and 'pleasure'. A poem that transmits a lot of energy as summer itself..Cristina Teodor

We are moving into autumn here in South Africa and already I start to feel the sadness of death and decay, the anticipation of all things ending - the warm sun moving away - I hate this seasonal change and understand your plea so well!
