countless sides of diamond
facing the sun to brilliance
some we can't understand
but it's there to be adored
a magical happiness hold
shining from our forehead

i saw a lady at the bus stop
with tears kissing her ring
i could tell what beseech her
she could picture the past
moments shared, enjoyed
and now threatened, sad

then she smile, wipe her face
she look at me open her lips
never heard a sound, thought
i'm not the person she's looking
it's the place where joy's been
now she's forever, yes leaving
