031010 You'Re Lucky Poem by Manonton Dalan

031010 You'Re Lucky

i saw you with your cane
you're hiding your pain
i tried to comfort you
with stories you desire
am so happy you smile
but laugh pains you

i'm shy to ask what's the pain
i see your abbreviated breathing
i hear your short deliberate coughing
you started to walk away with a limp
you pause a while to tightened belt
i'm wide eyed never even blink

then your wife came from saloon
done manicure, pedicure and so on
she didn't say anything by 'hi! '
she's holding your arms tight
as if you're leaving for flight
you're lucky she is on your side
