031410 It's A Challenge Poem by Manonton Dalan

031410 It's A Challenge

sun is barely out of its shell
reflecting sparkles on a pail
full of water from pouring rain
turning playground to swamp
where a tiny ant float on bubble
searching for a leaf to scramble

i watch patiently at my window
tracing where water gentle flow
little ducklings line like kiddies
swinging their cute flappers
i could be laughing with tears
amazing how we, we coexist

curious birds came to investigate
hopping, quick and looking hungry
busy beaks on scattered seeds
that life is real day to day existence
handicap for us they have no hands
yet they surely manage to survive
