blue and black bins are outside
for tomorrow sidewalk collection
bold letters stamp on front side
so it won't be misplace any time
retractable lids fashion to keep
wandering eyes from peeking

clear plastic bag for leaves, grass
no oil, no lubricants, no coolants
a special pick-up for bigger trash
we are building mount trashmore
that will seep to water reservoir
they're making us believe not

i was there walking yesterday
looking at pipes reaching sky
gas relief valves for carbon gas
from beneath dirt covered trash
ducks and geese are gone now
there's sinister lurking on that lake
