(049) Catastrophic Pair Poem by Risha Ahmed (12 yrs)

(049) Catastrophic Pair

Rating: 3.0

It ended up in my house
From under the door
It was loved by a mouse
Who slid on it on the floor
It was all brown in colour
With a dirty shade of gray
So I thought I will give it to the donkeys
But they begin to kick and bray
Then I threw it outside my house
But my neighbour threw it in again
So I thought I will keep it in the barn
But it was brought back in the house by a hen
At last I put it in the laundry
Because maybe I could wear it
But after I wore it I screamed out loud
For on my leg it had bit
What this disastrous thing was
Is just a pair of stinking socks
But these socks are worth
A tricky stair and ten locks.
