059. Pale Moonlight Shines Between The Stubborn Clouds

Pale moonlight shines between the stubborn clouds
as I make my way up the cracked stone path
I know where your grave lies
need know no one to show me the way

Your head stone says you died peacefully
but I know that’s not the truth
a lie to remain uncorrected
it’s not how it happened
peace was what you looked for

Through the tears I remember
the night you revealed to me your plan
I’m going to die soon
you told me
before walking away

You told none of your friends
about your plot
they could not see your pain
you kept pushing me away
when I tried to help
said I had to ignore you

I could not believe it
when they told me the news
your girlfriend’s dead
your mates laughed
they would not share our pain

Even now they don’t care
as stress levels grow again
you won’t remain alone in there
soon I’m going to join you

i'm pretty sure you made this one up. tell me i'm right! very nice. i don't even miss punctuation or rhymes. i notice the only capital letters are the first letters of each stanza; i like it. i don't recall seeing that done before, but i suppose it has been. thanks for using apostrophes. nice and compact. it goes to MyPoemList. this may be my favorite stanza: our head stone says you died peacefully but I know that’s not the truth a lie to remain uncorrected it’s not how it happened peace was what you looked for thanks for sharing. bri :)
