Why do we ponder...

...on and yonder

To bigger things...

That mind's eye blackens blue...

...with pains of thought


Why do we contemplate...

...and worry great

Reflect in pools...

...to depths unseen

Or querry stars or God's

Who resolve the lessons...

... with more questions


Is it in the battle won...

...or just begun.
