I asked God to show himself to me,
And he showed me the sands of the sea.
I was not satisfied and asked again,
This time he showed me a handful of pea.
Unpleased as my will was; I asked,
This time he showed me the wing of a bee.
And so it was that I asked again,
This time he showed, but nothing I did see.

God's love spans from the all the billions of sands of the sea to a wing of a tiny insect. God's love is everywhere and when he showed all this to you, he knew you knew you were part of everything, everything that ever was and ever will be. A beautiful inspirational poem Leslie. Top marks

a beautiful poem...from vastness to nothing...a subtle poem....leaves a lot unsaid
  Patricia Masterman  (10/4/2009 5:35:00 PM)

I think I understand this. Your understated poem is so, so beautiful in what was left unsaid.
