fifteen,
too young to drive
too old to play
nothing to do
with so much to say
letting go
of doubts and fears
questioning life
and my purpose here
breaking away
from what i knew
out of the dark
and into the blue
trial and error
fail and succeed
living and learning
finding what i need
laughing and loving
just having fun
live for the moment
how quickly it's done
not quite an adult
an age in between
no longer a child
because now i'm fifteen
searching the world
finding my place
conquering my future
at my own pace
but for now i'm content
with all that i've seen
i mean after all
i'm only fifteen
I have a 15 year old who is going through exactly this right now EA! You describe him completely down to a tee. Each verse so specially theirs. My hopes for him are high...some trepidation, but thats parenting. Thank you for reminding me just how lucky I am to have him. My youngest...Aghhhhhhhhh so hard to let go of that fact. Smiling at you Tai
