Rowving Smith

2 Two

The clouds were floating
Lazily over the lake
Like blankets
Being thrown
Over the sleepy sun
Going to bed

Water swinging
Among the rocks
Making panting sounds
At our feet

'There are two sides
To a coin my girl....'
I said....

Glancing into the water
Far far away...
You answered..
'Yes, but one head
Only on one side...'

[For the two of 'us']

Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
