2 Wrongs Don't Make A Right(1998) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

2 Wrongs Don't Make A Right(1998)

hours run to seconds
minutes plague my day
every time I kneel before Him
every time I start to pray

I pray for love and healing
the strength to make me whole
and something I felt once
Oh, so long ago

Still no one that I wish to
dares to take a step
assuming that they know me
way far, deep inside

the sweat, pain and emotions
could tear my world apart
but I'll be damned if I let you
touch me like you want

if you think I wouldn't fight you
If you think I don't care
You'll never see me angrier
that in that moment - I am

Did you ever really see me
as someone greater than a score
how could you truly see me
when you won't even open your eyes
