2010/01 Guh-Gump

This is one of a kind
My senses come alive
The sound of your heartbeat to my ear could break concrete
But it's a lullaby
I mean I'd rather it be there than not
My soul craving your embrace
Since the cold lonely trip that took you to a faraway place
That further imprinted in my mind the memory of your face
Your faults don't matter much when I see your great smile
How could they?
Kisses are smooth like butter
Flows like natural water
However
This beat is rampant
Prominent
Draws away my sleep
Reminds me of when I first held you close to me
I
Tentative, hesitant, apprehensive
My limbs and fingers are filled with anxiety
A moment is taken to revel in my ignorance of the unknown mystery before me
Our lips meet and I forget to exhale
Caught up in the spiral path you lead
A Wonderland where all pleasures of time are free
An air of seclusion surrounds us
The clock strikes
This is the hour of you and I
Rushing would make it a waste
But your passionate pushing sets the pace
Surprising me in ways I haven't even considered
We've begun our dance
And my doubt slowly withers
Love-making is found in your simplest touches
Serenity
Your eyes close in the face of intensity
Soft scent sinking into my sheets
Leaving behind a trail of whispers for my nose
Puzzling me with your interest in romance, intimacy, and personal space
When it seems noone does in this day and age
Continuing to inspire the idea of longevity in a different way
The process of falling for you has enveloped me like I didn't stand a chance from the beginning
In the same fashion that I favor underdogs, you played your moves like you were always winning
You
The type of person who falls in love with outstretched arms
No hiding behind misguided lies
Or vacant excuses
I peer over at you curiously
An interesting character of time
A new personality in my book of life
Certainly new, but you are classic in mind
Impossible to ignore
Almost a ball of energy
In my dreams you are a star
Bright and evident of living life
