#265 My Angel Poem by Jimmie Arrington

#265 My Angel

I saw an angel today,
Or so my eyes believe.
In my head I see the way
She walked with perfect sway,
Unless my eyes deceive.

She was beautiful, I swear.
I simply stared in awe.
Her long blonde flowing hair
Wafted in the still air.
Did I really see what I saw?

She was clothed in a white gown,
A silky, pristine dress.
Her words sparkled like a crown,
Every syllable, every noun.
And her smile was flawless.

And when she had to depart,
(Even her exit was divine)
It kind of broke my heart.
But maybe today was the start
Of her forever being mine.
