28th Street Poem by bob barci

28th Street

I got me some friends on 28th Street.
I see them every chance I get.
That's usually once a week, sometimes twice.
Every week I meet new friends,
and the old ones always stop in and say hello.
I stay in one general area on 28th Street,
but no matter where I am, my friends find me.
And, oh yes, we do have a good time.
Maybe someday I'll change my location,
but for now 28th Street is the place for me.

I got me some friends on 28th Street.
Closer friends I couldn't find.
I'm not too good on remembering
which names go with which faces,
but it really doesn’t matter,
we know each other by sight.
Maybe someday I'll change my location,
but for now,28th Street is the place for me.
