2nd Husband Poem by Lynnee Holder

2nd Husband

Pitch Black Dark
Days, no existence
I walk & walk- -
For miles- behind me
Long lines of vile
Bloody, smelly corpses

Ahead I see hopelessness
Dead tree lined streets
The moon gray and red
And the man on it- DEAD!

Wolves howl. Buzzards fly
Awaiting a meal
Any real life becomes unreal
As death swoops in
Ending life- again & again.

I walk & walk
I see a river, Blood River
It's named, with a dreadful
waterfall. Corpses piled on the shore.

Horror, where you be
Horror, please release me
Come light, come save this world
Shine bright for the boy's & girl's
Who must live & learn & hope.

Walking, walk on ahead I see
Burning, coals & fire
Awaiting me, the fire
As hot as hot can be for
The rot & vile that follows me.

I lead them there
And there will be
He-Lucifer; wanting to take me
Witches & warlocks stand before

The gate of hell, they walk
the floor, and there I see
He-Lucifer sits, He beckons
& beckons & beckons me three
With blood & fire raging in
His eyes.

His skin as red as a sword
pulled freshly from a body.
The horror in my heart turns
To pain, As I get closer
it begins to wane.

Soon my heart is no more
For now I am
She- The Devils Bride.
